Trusting Jesus Through Life’s Challenges

August 18, 2026 · 6 min read

A Sign with the don't give up

Life can be difficult. We all face seasons of uncertainty, disappointment, fear, and struggles that seem bigger than we can handle. In those moments, it can be easy to wonder where to turn or how we will make it through.

But there is good news: you do not have to face life alone.

Jesus is our source of hope, strength, and peace. He is the One we can turn to when we don't have the answers. He is our way maker, solution solver, and faithful guide, even when we cannot see a way forward.

Whatever you are facing today, remember this simple truth:

There is nothing but love for you in the heart of God.

Trust Jesus When Life Gets Difficult

One of the most important things we can learn during difficult seasons is how to trust Jesus.

Trusting God does not mean that we will never experience problems. It means knowing that Jesus is with us in the middle of those problems.
When we don't know what to do, we can turn to Him.

“Put your total trust in Jesus. He's a way maker.”

Sometimes we want to understand how everything will work out before we are willing to trust God. But faith often means taking the next step even when we cannot see the entire path.
Jesus sees what we cannot see. He knows what we do not know. And He is able to work in situations that seem impossible to us.

Jesus Is Our Way Maker

There are times when life seems to leave us with no good options. We may face financial pressure, relationship struggles, disappointment, loss, uncertainty, or difficult decisions.
When we cannot see a way forward, we can remember that God is not limited by our circumstances.
Jesus can make a way where we cannot see one.
This doesn't mean that every situation will unfold exactly as we hope. Sometimes God's answer looks different from what we expected. But we can trust that He is still working and that His love for us does not change.
When you don't know which way to turn, turn to Jesus.

Jesus Is Our Solution Solver

We often try to solve everything ourselves. We make plans, search for answers, and carry the weight of our problems on our shoulders.
But there are some things we simply cannot fix on our own.
That is when we can bring our concerns to God.

“He's a solution solver. He's a storm chaser. No matter what you're going through. I know it's rough.”

Jesus does not promise that we will never walk through storms. He promises that we don't have to walk through them alone.

When you are facing something difficult, bring it to Him. Ask for wisdom. Ask for strength. Ask Him to guide your decisions and help you see your situation through His eyes.

What Can You Do When You Are Struggling?

When life feels overwhelming, there are simple ways to turn your heart back toward God.

  • When life feels overwhelming, there are simple ways to turn your heart back toward God.

You don't need perfect words to pray.
Talk to Jesus honestly about what you are experiencing. Tell Him what you are afraid of. Tell Him what you don't understand. Ask Him for wisdom and peace.
Prayer is not about saying the perfect words. It is about coming honestly before God and trusting Him with your heart.

  • 2. Don't Walk Through the Struggle Alone

God often encourages us through other people.
Talk to a trusted friend, family member, pastor, or fellow believer. Allow people who care about you to pray with you and encourage you.
There is strength in Christian community. Sometimes we need someone to remind us of God's goodness when we are struggling to see it for ourselves.

  • 3. Take Time to Remember God's Faithfulness

When you are going through a difficult season, it can be easy to focus only on what is going wrong.
Take some time to remember the ways God has helped you in the past.
Think about prayers He has answered, moments when He gave you strength, people He brought into your life, or situations where you saw His faithfulness.
Remembering what God has already done can help strengthen your faith for what you are facing today.

Finding Peace Through Faith in Jesus

Faith does not mean ignoring the difficulties in your life.
It means choosing to trust God in the middle of them.
You may still have questions. You may still feel afraid. You may not know what tomorrow will bring.
But you can have peace knowing that Jesus is with you.
When we place our trust in Him, our circumstances may not immediately change, but our perspective can change.

Fear says, “You can't handle this.”
Faith says, “I don't have to handle this alone.”
Fear says, “There is no way forward.”
Faith says, “Jesus can make a way.”

That change in perspective can give us the courage to keep moving forward.

The Power of Prayer When You Feel Overwhelmed

Prayer is one of the greatest gifts God has given us.
Through prayer, we can bring our worries, questions, hopes, and fears directly to Him.
You don't need to pray for an hour. You don't need complicated words. Even a simple prayer can be an expression of trust:

“Jesus, I don't know what to do. Please guide me.” “Lord, I'm afraid. Please give me peace.” “Jesus, I can't see the way forward. Help me trust You.”

God cares about what you are going through. He wants you to bring your burdens to Him.

Remember: You Are Loved

Perhaps the most important thing to remember during difficult times is that God's love for you does not depend on your circumstances.
When life is going well, He loves you.
When you are struggling, He loves you.
When your faith feels strong, He loves you.
When you have questions and doubts, He still loves you.
You don't have to earn His love. You can come to Him exactly as you are.
There is nothing you can face that is too difficult for Him, and there is no place you can go where His presence cannot reach you.

Let Jesus Lead You Through the Storm

Life will always have unexpected turns. Some seasons will be easier than others. But you can choose who you will trust when the road becomes difficult.

Trust Jesus.
- Let Him guide you when you don't know which way to go.
- Let Him strengthen you when you feel weak.
- Let Him give you peace when your mind is overwhelmed.
- Let Him remind you that you are never alone.

Jesus is your way maker, solution solver, and faithful companion through every season.

A Final Encouragement

Whatever you are facing today, don't give up.
Bring your worries to Jesus. Pray. Trust Him with the things you cannot control. Take one step at a time and remember that God is already present in the place you are trying to reach.
You may not see the answer yet.
You may not understand what God is doing.
But you can still trust His heart.

There is nothing but love for you.

Let that truth encourage you today. Let it strengthen your faith and remind you that no matter what you are going through, Jesus is with you.

Trust Him.
Follow Him.
Talk to Him.
And never forget how deeply you are loved.

I love you all no matter what.
